Don't get me wrong, I love Canada and everything about it! All except our governments and their idea of fair taxation.
It is a fact that the only way a government can operate is with money, paid to them in taxes. The problem however is when government gets so big, and becomes involved in things that are none of their business, that our tax rates go through the roof.
Example in point. Premier Dalton McGinty is going to HARMONIZE the PST (Provincial Sales Tax) & GST (Goods & Services Tax) into one TAX.
So what does this mean? Well not all things sold in Ontario (this is a provincial thing) are subject to the provincial sales tax. However under the new law these items, which are already subject to GST will now be harmonized and therefore subject to the new tax. This will raise the tax on many things from 5% to 13%!
An great example of this is FOOD, WATER and BOOKS!
You know what else? It is being done against the wishes and without permission of the citizen of the Province of Ontario!
Hopefully in the next election the residents of Ontario will toss this Liberal CLOWN out of office.
